The session was quick-paced and dynamic with lots of opportunities for staff to interact and they were all engaged throughout. Useful strategies were discussed in a practical way, looking at different examples that were prepared to suit each year group so that all staff had material that was relevant to the age-group they teach.

I think it helped to clarify what the executive functioning skills are and for staff to try and think deeper about what the cause might be that underlies why a pupil struggles with a task. It was useful to brainstorm ideas for making adaptations to support them.
