The missing piece in Neurodiversity Support

The Pathways Centre was created to address a simple but persistent challenge.

Neurodivergent individuals alongside their families, schools and organisations they learn, work and exist within - are often navigating complex systems without clarity, consistency or understanding.

Support may be available, yet progress can feel slow, fragmented or confusing. Behaviour is misunderstood, expectations feel misaligned, despite best intentions things don't quite fall into place.

The missing piece is executive functioning.

What is executive functioning?

Executive functioning shapes how we cope with everyday demands.

Getting started with tasks, regulating emotions, maintaining focus, adapting to change, planning and organisation and monitoring progress toward goals.

You can think of executive functioning as the brain's management system - coordinating different skills so everyday life can run smoothly.

Attention & Focus

Staying engaged when distractions are everywhere

Cognitive Flexibility

Adapting when plans or expectations change

Working Memory

Holding information in the mind while using other areas

Self Regulation & Inhibitory Control

Pausing, managing impulses and emotions

Motivation & Initiation

Getting started when motivation is low

Planning & Organisation

Breaking tasks down and keep tracking

Self-monitoring & Metacognition

Noticing what's working, and adjusting when it's not

Goal Directed Persistence

Staying with tasks until they're complete

When executive functioning develops differently everyday tasks can require far more effort. Especially without the right understanding and support.

We offer tailored support to develop executive functioning across everyday life - at home, in education settings and within organisations.
